PHOTOGRAPH 51

Miriam Margolyes stars as Rosalind Franklin, whose work led directly to the discovery of the DNA “double helix.”

At the dawn of the 1950s, a group of scientists are racing to discover the true structure of DNA. But perhaps the most brilliant of all was Rosalind Franklin: a Jewish woman in a male-dominated field, whose Photograph 51 gave the clearest evidence for the “double-helix” structure that we know today. A new play by Anna Ziegler.
